Gareth Tristan Evans is a mixed media artist originally from Singapore and raised in a remote Welsh valley. Now based in Macclesfield, he creates intricate artworks that often incorporate popular media motifs, blending Eastern symbolism with contemporary themes, as seen in his latest series Modern Geisha. Influenced by street art, Gareth employs layers of gold leaf, acrylic, and various materials to create depth and texture, painting on wood boards to mimic the effect of wall art. He embraces a variety of techniques, from photography to traditional brushwork, ensuring that each piece meets his high standards of quality.
