Jayson Lilley is an internationally established printmaker that uses the modern landscapes with a different and unique perspective. Using urban and the architectural structures Jason reproduces iconic cityscapes from around the world that are loved and familiar. His practice not only involve screen printing but combines painting, collage techniques, gold and silver leaf embellishment and hand drawing to construct dramatic and vibrant scenes. The expansive skies which play on salience and colour are almost a trademark of Jayson’s work. He looks
at the relationship between nature and the urban landscape. The limited edition prints move away from the flat traditional silkscreen and brings in the raw lines and a sense of life and movement to reflect the personality of the city.
He graduated with a First-Class honour’s degree from the University for the Creative Arts in Visual Communication. Before focussing on his artwork Jayson had an award-winning career in design. He has used this experience to create his visual style and methodology.
