Ed Sumner
Ed Sumner is a London-based artist with roots in Yorkshire and a degree in Fine Art from Liverpool John Moores University. After working as a paper merchant, he dedicated himself to painting full-time, capturing the dynamic beauty of changing skyscapes and blending urban and natural elements. His work often features iconic North London landmarks like Primrose Hill, Greenwich, and Hampstead Heath, bringing these views to life with a style reminiscent of J.W. Turner. Ed’s luminous use of colour evokes powerful emotions, making his paintings an enriching addition to any space. With a growing following at prominent art fairs like The Other Art Fair and the Affordable Art Fair in both New York and London, Ed's work has gained international acclaim, with collectors in Hong Kong and New York. When not working on commissions, he draws inspiration from his local surroundings, offering a personal tribute to the city he calls home. Ed is available for commissions—contact the gallery for more information.
